Mixed experience, but overall happy
Mixed experience, but overall happy with the work that was performed. Called with several issues with our kitchen sink/area: malfunctioning garbage disposal, faucet fixture replacement, poor water pressure, hot water not working, and dishwasher not draining. Plumber #1 came to assess the situation and recommended replacement of the garbage disposal, replacement of shutoff valves, and agreed to replace the faucet fixture. Stated that he was not a dishwasher technician, but felt the drainage issue might be related to a clogged drain and offered to replace the dishwasher drain for free since we agreed to have the other work done. Unfortunately, Plumber #1 was on vacation on the date service was to be scheduled, and he informed us that another colleague would be able to complete the job. Plumber #2 comes and replaces the shutoff valves and garbage disposal and installs the new faucet fixture; however, he does not feel that the dishwasher drain is the problem and suspects the issue lies with the dishwasher itself. He does not replace the drain and recommends calling an appliance repair technician. When the appliance repair technician comes, he discovers that the problem with the dishwasher is indeed a clogged drain, which he is able to resolve. Ultimately we are happy with the work that was done by all and the end result, but would have saved some time and money if all of the original work promised by the plumbing company was completed.
